Big Breakfast, Pork-Free
The Daily Coffee Puchong, the newest addition to Bandar Puteri Puchong, certainly makes a statement with its spacious setting, taking up two entire shop lots. They have outlets in Penang, Kedah and Sabah but this is their first in the Klang Valley.

It’s an inviting spot for a leisurely meal (with nice soft music playing in the background), and I decided to try their Chicken Ham Big Breakfast (RM26.90), with an added sausage (RM3.50). I paired this with a pot of Earl Grey tea, listed for two pax at RM19.90.

However, the Earl Grey turned out to be French Earl Grey, a blend I find too floral for my liking. Unlike the English version, which is traditionally infused with the robust and distinctive notes of bergamot oil, French Earl Grey often includes additional floral elements, giving it a lighter and more fragrant profile. A note on the menu would have been helpful to avoid this surprise.

As for the big breakfast dish itself, the scrambled eggs were overcooked, missing the mark for what scrambled eggs should be — a soft, creamy, and slightly custardy texture that melts in your mouth. Instead, these eggs were firm. The chicken sausage, while good, couldn't quite redeem the dish.

However, one thing you won't complain about at The Daily Coffee Puchong is the air-conditioning not being cold enough. It was so cold the morning I was there, I chose to sit outside.
