Chiefeater Say Beng Teoh shares an early lunch of Mixed Rice at Restoran Pulau Pinang, known locally as 100 Hang

Curry Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Heading over to Sunway Geo on the Sunway link bridge, I decided to stop over at Tian Tian Seafood for lunch. I had noticed there was a stall selling curry mee previously and was keen to give it a try.

As the steaming bowl arrived, I took note of the thick fiery looking broth. Tasting a spoonful of the broth, it was full of flavour and that got lunch off to a good start.

Digging into the bowl, I was delighted to discover an assortment of delectable ingredients adorning the savoury noodles. The slices of char siew though slightly dry, were doused in the curry broth, so it did not really matter that it was not that succulent. Meanwhile, the small but juicy cockles provided a delightful burst of briny freshness.

There were also fried wantan, which had soaked up the broth, so had taken the edge off the hardness of the skin. The filling was flavourful. Additionally, the inclusion of pork skin added a tantalising crunch, further enhancing the dish’s appeal.

A slight dampener was that the noodles themselves were slightly softer than my preference.
Priced at a mere RM10 for a medium sized bowl, the curry wantan mee at Tian Tian Seafood offered good value for money, providing a satisfying and flavourful meal that left me thoroughly satiated. Do take note, they only accept cash. No e-Wallets here.
