Dinner at Upperstar One Borneo was an interesting experience. The decor immediately brought to mind the nostalgic vibes of Swensen’s and TGI Friday’s from the 90s, with its warm lighting and casual diner-style setting. The place had a lively atmosphere, clearly a popular choice among diners.
I ordered the fried chicken chop, which came well-seasoned, delivering a pleasant savoury flavour. However, the texture leaned towards the dry side, and the colour of the meat suggested it might have been frozen chicken, lacking that fresh, juicy quality.
The onion rings were decent.
Despite this, Upperstar One Borneo seems to hold strong appeal, possibly for its affordable pricing and relaxed environment.
