Last Saturday enjoying dinner alone at a new Teochew cafe, 一张囍字 YiZhangXiZi. Love the background music. Seating a bit cramped but good service. The menu was interesting. End up I ordered 2 main course 3 side dishes.
1) Braised preservative vegetables with pork belly, tofu and egg (RM16.90) : Interesting flavour. Not salty at all and can eat by itself. Love it very much. 5 stars.

2) Plain Miàn xiàn (RM9.90) : Love the sticky, sticky texture. Eat it with vinegar. 5 stars.

3) Teochew Loh Bak (RM8.90) for 1 piece: interesting flavour and because it has whole piece of pork belly inside, the texture became a bit chewy. Not really like the texture. 3 stars.

4) Teochew Guāng qiàng (RM8.90) : love the flavour and the texture. Just nice for me. I found it so flavourful. Is a must order dish when you’re here. 5 stars.

5) Polo Pao (RM7.90) : the texture is a bit soft for the whole thing. But the butter wow wow wow. I never had polo pao with this size of butter. For a butter lover like me, I’m in heaven. 4 stars.

Overall enjoy the meal very much. Definitely will come again to YiZhangXiZi for more.
