In Taman Berkeley, Klang, there's a well-known and beloved seafood restaurant called Thong Yew Seafood.
It's a favourite spot for local families to gather for a meal. Ever since I tried their freshly cooked fish head hot pot, I've been craving its taste. The clear soup is both flavourful and tangy, truly appetizing. The fish head pieces are generously sized and complemented by the combination of cabbage, taro, and sour plum, creating a delightful sensation in the mouth.
Their signature dish, the Oyster Omelette, is quite unique. The omelette is fried to perfection, crispy on the outside, and they use large-sized oysters. The "Three Delights" and "Four Heavenly Kings" dishes are also worth mentioning for their delicious flavours and generous portions.
For dinner, orders start at 5 PM, but it's common to see customers queuing outside before that time 😅. I recommend arriving early to secure a table. Apart from the fish head and fish meat dishes mentioned, they also offer other variations such as ginger and scallion, minced meat, sweet and sour, stir-fried, and aromatic flavors, priced at RM32 (medium) and RM42 (large).
