Chiefeater Eddie Low and his travel buddy strolled along Salamanca Market on Saturday to savour the delights on offer
Chicken Rice, Street Food, Non-Halal
Butterworth is one of those sleepy hollows that still has plenty of street shacks here and there, that sell a verity of good street food. It’s a scene that one would find common from years back but no so much anymore in many cities throughout Malaysia.
We stumbled across this particular humble shack dish up the most succulent "Roasted" Chicken Rice I ever encountered, which was serve with a Tasty Nourishing Soup, One of those days when we need to "waste" time Inbetween appointment and was hungry. And we have been coming back over and over again.
Our order is usually a combo of Roasted Chicken and Roast Pork.
As befitting a roadside shack, the seating is on metal chairs and table.
Parking, unfortunately is a big problem along the bustling Jln Raja Uda. One has to head for the back lanes.
Location: along Jln Raja Uda Butterworth, opposite O2 clinic
Price Range : RM5.50 upward
Open: Lunch
