Fine Dining, Western, Pork-Free
If you want to have an all round good and tasty place, The Bread Bar is the place to go. Their food in my opinion can beat is any fine dining of any top notch hotels.
To start of the dinner we find that their fruits mock-tail taste very refined and well balanced. Even though without alcohol you can imagine having the Sangria fruits mocktails with it.

The assorted toast sourdough is the best that I have ever eaten. Enjoyed every bites of it, especially flavourful when eaten with their well salted butter. We end up ordered it another 2 portion of sliced sourdough.

Clams with zaalouk sauce stated as spicy is fresh and nicely done and paired with generous portions of scallops and prawns. I would prefer it a bit more spicy. My daughter who normally doesn’t like clams likes the dish best which say much about the ability of the chef to bring the goodness out of clams without the usual “fishy flavour” in her words.
The squid ink linguine with spicy Miso tomato Confit sauce with is savoury flavourful much liked by my son. It was serves with generous among of seared scallops and good sized grilled tiger prawns.

The Seabass with Botanical Pesto was very well done with its good twist of asian flavour, just nicely cooked with flesh flaking off so well, so satisfying good that I even sucked up its left over juice off the banana leaf that it was served on. My son said it will pair well with a bowl of rice, however knowing that it is a Bread Bar we didn’t ask for any.

The medium rare Angus Ribeye was well prepared with good chew to the meat, I even enjoyed the garlic and carrot garnish.

Top off our dining with a beautiful decorated and very nice lemon cake slice for the birthday girl served enthusiastically with waiters sang birthday song and others diners chipped in to the sing along. We enjoyed to the cake to the last bits.
While every dish were good on its own it is how well all the flavours combine together that makes it a very satisfying dining experience which gathered very high score from everyone. Service was good at The Bread Bar, waiters attentive and polite. Highly recommended for as a good place for any celebration meal or even just visit for its sourdough breads and coffee will be an enjoyable. With the boss as the head chef you can expect its high quality is here to stay.
