Chiefeater VK had a serendipitous find when he ordered a meal from Nanyang Sand Ginger Steam Chicken via food delivery

Set Lunch, Pork-Free
Tangerine Taylor’s is a restaurant operated by the staff and students of Taylor’s culinary school. My visit there coincided with their reopening. The restaurant was fully occupied shortly after we were seated.
The set lunch options available included a choice between Curry Potato Chicken or Braised Chicken Leg. I opted for the latter, and the set meal also included sides like smashed cucumber and a hearty Carrot, Corn, and Winter Melon Soup.
Braised Chicken

Curry Potato Chicken

The soup, while enjoyable, fell in the “alright” category. What stood out was the evident sweetness of the corn, which added a delightful dimension to the overall flavour profile. The smashed cucumber, prepared in a Chinese style, offered a spicy contrast to the meal, serving as a fitting palate cleanser. The Braised Chicken Leg, presented a tasty and well-prepared dish that made for a decent lunch.
Considering the environment and the quality of the meal, RM25 for a set lunch was fair value to pay for it. While the set didn’t include drinks, we could request water from the wait staff. Their spaghettis are priced at just RM10, though the portions are small.
