Dinner at Pik Wah Restaurant with several friends was revelatory about the quality of food that they serve
Chinese, Fish, Non-Halal
Today had a chance to have lunch at Ijok, Kuala Selangor, and we make a beeline to Bui Bui Restaurant, our favourite restaurant there. The restaurant had an open air and and air-cond section for dining. We arrived quite early at about 11.30 am, and there were already some guests in the air-cond section.
We ordered the Thai-styled lemon steamed siakap (石甲鱼), minced pork and radish tofu and chicken stir fry with ginger green onion (姜葱鸡)。
The Thai-styled lemon siakap was steamed nicely and topped with a generous amount of lemon grass, onions, slices of tomato, a sprinkle of red bird's eye chilli, and shreds of kaffir lime leaves. The milky broth was tangy and savoury, & very appetizing.
Deep fried tofu topped with minced meat and radish was good, the tofu was slightly crispy in the outside, silky smooth in the inside. The minced meat with radish topping complement the tofu nicely.
The chicken stir fried with ginger slices and green onion was good. The chicken was slightly fried, and comes with some yummy thick gravy.
Restaurant is clean, service was prompt and attentive, and price was very reasonable.
