Japanese, Yakitori, Non-Halal
Living in Puchong has its perks, especially with the addition of another standout yakitori restaurant in the area. My recent visit to this yakitori spot turned out to be a delightful experience, shared with Jen as we savoured a 12-skewer dinner.
To kick things off, we enjoyed some appetizing starters—a bowl of fuchuk with wasabi and a refreshing bowl of cherry tomatoes with mozzarella, setting the stage for what was to come. I paired my meal with a glass of sake, adding to the authentic Japanese dining experience.
The skewers arrived promptly. Almost every skewer hit the mark perfectly. However, it was the wing and liver skewers that stole the show, leaving a lasting impression among an already complement of skewers with their exceptional taste and texture.
The Wing was so well seasoned and succulent.
The Liver which we loved
Chouchin. Chicken uterus with two undeveloped yolks attached to it. Not something that I have seen in other yakitori restaurants and it's the first time I have had it.
The add-ons like the pork jowl and A3 wagyu that were simply excellent.
Pork Jowl
A3 Wagyu
As the skewers wrapped up, our dinner continued with a flavourful bowl of egg and rice, adding a satisfying conclusion to the meal. To cap off the evening on a sweet note, we indulged in a choice between matcha or black sesame ice cream, a delightful finish to a memorable dining experience. All through the night, the service was attentive and courteous.
Toriya Yakitori exudes charm and versatility, offering the main dining section that can be booked for private events at RM4,500, accommodating up to 26 guests.
The best part is yet to be revealed. The 12-skewer set was just RM108+ (the + being a 10% service charge). The total bill was RM223 which included the 2 extra skewers and sake. Our visit to this yakitori gem left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied, and we promised ourselves that we would return for more delights.
