Fried Chicken, Pork-Free
During the conference I attended in Kota Kinabalu, one of our lunches was sponsored by Borenos Fried Chicken Asia City. I had read Steven Tea's glowing review of this fried chicken, so I was thrilled to see it as one of our lunch options.
The chicken was the star of the meal. It had a delightful spicy tinge that added just the right amount of kick to each bite. The meat itself was flavourful and well-seasoned, living up to the high expectations set by the earlier review. The cole slaw was another highlight, offering a satisfying crunch that complemented the spiciness of the chicken perfectly.
However, the chicken skin was a bit soggy, likely due to being prepped and sent over earlier in the day. This minor setback didn't detract too much from the overall experience, but it did make me eager to try Borenos Fried Chicken again, this time dining in to ensure the chicken skin is as crispy as it should be. I look forward to visiting Boreno in person to enjoy their food at its best.
