Chiefeater Pat Lim found the YTF at Segambut Yong Tau Foo to better than he had expected

De Bortoli Wines Yarra Valley Winery and Restaurant is located in the Yarra Valley vineyard strip, east of Melbourne. I always love the drive the the Yarra Valley as it is scenic, with different vineyards stretch as far as your eyes can see. We arrived at 11.30 am and the surrounding was serene and calm, the air – cool and crisp. We took a stroll around the vineyard eventually arriving at the restaurant and was led to our table.

The menu is not extensive which makes ordering an easier decision (lol). We settled on the pasta, crispy skin pork belly, pan fried duck breast, etc. and each dish, paired with their wine offerings. It is worth the drive here for a meal as it allows for a different experience a little pampering, if you like.

The restaurant is spacious and they were prepping for a wedding reception, a common thing amongst young Australians wanting to get married at the vineyard. Note that reservation is required as it was packed for lunch…even on a Friday.
