Roast Duck, Roast Pork, Non-Halal
Feeling like duck one day, we headed over to Hong Kong Famous Roast Meals for lunch. Since they had a variety of roast meats, we decided to try several things. We ordered a roast duck leg (RM16), steamed kampung chicken (RM9), roast pork (RM9) and a plate of bean sprouts (RM5).
The roast duck was interestingly non gamey. And I actually found that a problem. The reason why I enjoy a roast duck is because of its stronger flavour. This felt like something was amiss. But if you like your duck this way, then perhaps you might want to give it a try.

The meat of the roast pork was too mushy, which was quite off putting for me.

My wife liked the steamed kampung chicken because it was juicy and flavourful. You can see the intense yellow colour of this free range chicken.

The best dish for me was actually the bean sprouts. At RM5, this was really a good deal. The taugeh was so well seasoned, crunchy and just so enjoyable to bite into. I would come back just for the bean sprouts.

Total bill for lunch at Hong Kong Famous Roast Meals came up to RM48 for the 2 of us. All things considered, quite a decent price for the amount of food ordered. Unfortunately not all items were a hit.
Prices are nett.

The shop is shown to be closed on Google Maps but it is very much open
