Pasta, Non-Halal
EVP is a pet-friendly pizzeria offering oven-baked Neapolitan-style pizzas with crispy crusts and fresh ingredients. But as with all other outlets in One Holland Village – they cater for pet owners who want to sit al fresco . If you’re a dog owner in Singapore, you’d most probably spending weekends at One Holland Village. So we decided to take a breather at EVP- this is our second time.
EVPs claim to fame is their Neapolitan pizza. Naples, Italy is considered the birthplace of the pizza. There is an Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) which sets strict guidelines for ingredients and preparation methods to maintain authenticity Neapolitan pizza.
The menu of Extra Virgin Pizza is simple but interesting. The Pizzas are divided into “Red” and “White”. The menu also offers pasta and dishes such as oven fried clams and crispy calamaris
I recall during our first visit – being pleasantly surprised by their wood fire oven pizza. I’d say 7.5/10. But what’s more delectable to me (my best pizza experience was actually in New York), was that
a) their selection of pasta were quite unordinary and
b) their choice of sides were quaint.

The pasta was 7.5/10. Consistently both times we had it – a few months apart.

The broccolini gratinata was also sumptuous. I loved the red onion twist as a sub-side (side of sides, geddit). The ample drizzles of cheese flakes was a plus. This was also 7/10.

The oven baked clams was delightful. The umaminess and freshness of each clam came through. Cooked to perfection, just nice, the clams were still juicy and full of flavour. The butter wine broth was light and well balanced. The farfella finishing was good. This was 7.5/10

Total damage was SGD80.93 for a pasta, 2 sides (broccolini & clams). Some would say quite steep, and they’re not wrong. Given the setting (One Holland Village, pet friendly etc), and the rarity of the dishes they serve – EVP deserves a 7/10 in total.
