Chiefeater Yong Choy Peng shares a breakfast visit to Ah Wong Office, highlighting an Asam Laksa Fried Bee Hoon

Last Project in Bangsar offers a cozy dining experience with great food, but there are a few things to consider. The restaurant has two dinner slots per night, each limited to two hours. This can feel rushed, especially since parking is hard to find in this area. Having to leave after two hours was a downside, but the food and service made up for it.

The place was busy when we visited, and the atmosphere was lively. Our server, Wenwen, stood out. She knew the menu well and gave us great suggestions based on our tastes. Her bubbly personality and dedication made our meal even better.
As for the food, the portions were just right, and we tried a variety of dishes.

The corn mayo was a standout – fresh, juicy, and crunchy white corn with a deliciously creamy mayo topping. Another highlight was the bamboo clam, though the sauce was extremely spicy, so if you’re not into spice, this might be one to skip.

The star of the evening, however, was the chicken teriyaki. It came with a sweet soy sauce and a raw egg that you mix together before drenching the handmade chicken meatball in it. The fact that the chicken ball was made in-house, using minced meat shaped into a ball, made it even more special. The presentation was impressive, and it tasted as good as it looked.

We also enjoyed a bottle of sake, which paired well with the meal. Towards the end of our dinner, we were upgraded to a VIP room for about 30 minutes and even received a complimentary birthday ice cream from Last Project. The ice cream was a delightful mix of coconut and strawberry with a few other condiments, which made for a nice ending to the meal.
Overall, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and enjoyable. The only downside was the time limitation. My suggestion would be to take a Grab to avoid the parking hassle and simply relax and enjoy the night.
