Kimchi Fried Rice, Fried Chicken, Pork-Free
Lunch at Chon Dak Sunway Geo was a mixed experience with the Kimchi Fried Rice and Fried Chicken I ordered. The fried kimchi rice was a good with a balance of spicy, tangy, and slightly sour notes from the kimchi, which provided a delightful kick. It was hearty and flavourful, making it a dish I’d happily enjoy again.

However, the original flavoured Korean fried chicken didn’t quite hit the mark. While the texture was crispy and the chicken itself was tender, the flavour fell flat, lacking the punch I had expected. It was simply too mild, missing the vibrant seasoning that makes Korean fried chicken such a popular choice. In hindsight, opting for the soy garlic flavour would likely have been a better choice, as that blend of sweet, savoury, and garlicky notes usually elevates the chicken to a whole new level. However at RM19, I don’t have much to complain about.

Next time, I’ll definitely be reaching for something with a little more punch in the flavour department.
