Chinese New Year, Non-Halal
Some more unique dishes last night Restoran Ming Chun Kee is a cosy setup accommodating 8 tables max. It’s run by a husband and wife duo – the chef and front of house. My uncles go-to, I found out, dishes out home cooked warmth and fuzziness instead.
A few dishes were a little more unique vs the last visit/year. The salted chilli tofu had great texture and full flavours. This was 7/10

The ginger chicken was quite good also. This was 7/10. The dish was laden with roughly chopped ginger chunks – pure pungence in a good way. While it was slightly overdone – the sauce and flavours carried it through.

The opening dish – the four seasons- had the omelette sharks fin in lettuce wrap as a centrepiece. It’s a dish that’s getting rarer – the Sek Yuen restaurant in town was the best rendition I’ve had in recent years. This was 6.5/10

The rest of the dishes were about 6/10 – including the deep fried fish.

I’m not sure if I rated Ming Kee Chun last year but this year, it’s an official 6.5/10.
