The food highlight from my Malaysia trip this time was surprisingly not in KL but in JB instead. Tan Tan Charcoal Steamboat Austin, a charcoal steamboat restaurant was simply AMAZING yet affordable! We ordered the grilled crab roe seafood hot pot which was filled with super fresh seafood and the broth was to die for! We kept slurping down bowls and bowls of this mystical broth that was bursting with umami flavours. And because it was cooked over a charcoal stove, everything just tasted so good!

I dare say anyone going to JB must stop by this wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner. You definitely won’t regret it.
