Marvellous Monday is when we have a perfect nasi lemak to start the day! Introducing Nasi Lemak Sambal Lesung by Cik Syuhadah at 66 Jalan Mayang Pasir 1, in between Tenaga and Unifi office at Bandar Bayan Baru, Penang.

So happy to have savoured fluffy long grain rice in the nasi lemak, crispy crunchy (not hard) ikan bilis beautifully done and whole boiled egg for the basic set at RM5.00 per set.

If u are feeling celebratory, there is wide array of choices - stuffed giant squid (sotong sumbat), baked lobster, grilled siakap fish and stuffed sambal cencaru fish as well as the traditional mains such as beef rendang and sambal paru (lungs). We opted to takeaway 3 packets of nasi lemak: ayam berempah, sambal kerang and normal set.

U can customise your sambal spice level - we went for the Pedas Giler for the chicken set and sambal manis (sweeter sambal version) for the basic set.

The place is clean, pleasant and cosy. Service is efficient for a new start-up. Cik Syuhadah has her team well-organised to serve from 9am to 11.00pm daily. Enjoy amazing malayzing Nasi Lemak Sambal Lesung!
