Oyster Noodles, Pork-Free
I had seen a few fellow Chiefeaters share about oyster noodles at various spots around the Klang Valley, which piqued my curiosity. So when I spotted it on the menu at Hai Kah Lang in SEA Park, I decided to give it a go.
The bowl arrived generous in portion and bright with coriander, lettuce, spring onions, seaweed, and fresh oysters, floating in a clear broth. It certainly looked like comfort food. But taste-wise, it didn’t quite leave an impression. The broth lacked depth and the seasoning felt muted, almost as if it was holding back. The oysters were fresh, but even they couldn’t lift the overall flavour. For me, it leaned too far into the bland spectrum. But for the chili sauce, I might not have finished it all.

These were better but fish balls and fish cakes are not on my list of favourite things.

I’m glad I tried it, but it’s not something I’d return for. Curiosity satisfied, once is enough.
I do note that their service is exceptional.
