Roast Duck, Noodles
Lunch at MW Signature in Taman Bukit Indah was built around a whole Signature Roasted Duck, supported by a few classic sides: Garlic Oyster Sauce Iceberg Lettuce, Emperor’s Dish – Sour & Spicy Mustard and a bowl of Minced Meat Noodles infused with lard. We also tried the Duck Century Egg with Ginger and a simple Garlic Rice, plus drinks.

The duck arrived nicely chopped, with glossy skin and a pool of jus on the plate. The spread felt very “family lunch on a weekend” – roast, a vegetable, a claypot-style soup and noodles to fill up on.
The roasted duck had crisp skin with a pleasant bite, and the meat was moist, but the flavour profile leaned mild. This is the less gamey style of duck, which will suit those who dislike stronger “duckiness”. Personally, I prefer a bolder duck flavour, but the texture and skin were enjoyable. Maybe I missed having this with a bottle of red.

The lettuce in garlic oyster sauce delivered exactly what you expect: soft, slightly wilted leaves soaking up sauce, with fried garlic adding crunch.

The sour and spicy mustard soup brought some warmth and tang, carrying that preserved-vegetable edge that you either love or skip. I found the soup not sour enough.

The duck century egg with ginger with a runny yolk was a nice supporting act for those who enjoy that creamy, alkaline richness.

The surprise winner was the lard-topped noodles. Springy noodles, minced meat, and crunchy lard cubes came together in a simple but deeply satisfying bowl. Even on its own, it would make a very good one-plate meal. I would not have needed the duck.

The white coffee was pretty good too.

M – Meal Value
Good value for a whole duck at this price point, with nicely crisp skin and a very satisfying lard noodle dish that stands out. Flavour on the duck is on the mild side, which may feel a little safe if you like strongly flavoured roast meats.
Score: 7.8 / 10
V – Vibe & Venue
Typical modern Chinese roast house setting – bright, busy and family-friendly. Service is efficient enough, and it feels like the sort of place you drop by for a straightforward roast meal rather than a drawn-out occasion.
Score: 7.6 / 10
X – X-Factor
The lard-topped noodles. It is one of those “simple but hits the spot” bowls that you could happily come back for without ordering anything else.
