Taiwanese
February 2026.
Occupying a space formerly held by another Taiwanese establishment – Yu Pin Xiang, Top Eat 101 is a relatively new addition to the Bandar Puteri dining scene. The restaurant offers a menu that leans into familiar Taiwanese comfort staples like fried rice, pork chops, and handmade dumplings.

I was actually coming back for the pork chop and I am glad that Top Eat 101 has kept the recipe and quality from their forerunners. The pork chop was savory and tender, having been pounded flat before grilling.

The fried rice that came with the pork chop was expertly coated with egg. However, its seasoning was notably light, perhaps reflecting a traditional Taiwanese flavor profile.

We also had a Stir-Fried HK Romaine Lettuce with Garlic (RM17.90) which provided a fresh and crunchy contrast.

The Pork Xiao Long Bao (RM16.80 for 6 pcs) was a late addition. The buns contained a rich, tasty broth, although the meat filling felt somewhat sparse in comparison to the soup volume.

Tie Guan Yin (2-4 pax) – RM16.00
Pork Xiao Long Bao (6 pcs) – RM16.80
Stir-Fried HK Romaine Lettuce with Garlic – RM17.90
Pork Chop w. Kampung Egg Fried Rice – RM20.90
Net Total – RM71.60
Average per pax – about RM36
Score: 7.4/10
M – Meal Value
The pricing is typical for a mid-range air-conditioned eatery in Bandar Puteri. At approximately RM36 per person for our group, it offers a fair deal for handmade items like xiao long bao and specialty grilled pork chops.
Score: 7.2/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The venue is clean and provides a comfortable, casual setting for lunch or dinner. Its location in the bustling Bandar Puteri commercial hub makes it an accessible choice for locals.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The tenderness of the pounded grilled pork chop is the standout here.
