Cheng Heng Kway Chap and Braised Duck Rice is Good

Pizza
Light dinner at Byond Walls SS2. I opted for their 3 in 1 Pizza Combo, which came with a personal pizza, a side of skin-on fries, and a drink. It is definitely a good value set for a quick solo meal in this part of town.
I tried the Bacon and Ham Pizza this time, but unfortunately, it was nowhere as good as their Mala Pork Pizza. The Mala version has that signature numbing spice and punchy flavor that really sets their artisanal dough apart. I will definitely be sticking to the Mala pork next time.

The restaurant itself has a great dual personality—functioning as a bright cafe by day and transforming into a buzzy pizza bar with live music by night. The artisanal dough used for their Neo-Neapolitan pizzas is fermented for 30 hours, which gives it a distinct chew and char.
3 in 1 Pizza Combo [1 pax]: RM26.00
Total: RM30.20 (Including 10% Service Charge and 6% SST)
Score: 7.8/10
M – Meal Value
The 3-in-1 combo is a standout deal at roughly RM30 after taxes for a complete set. While the bacon and ham topping was average, the quality of the 30-hour fermented artisanal dough still provides a high-end base for a very accessible price.
Score: 8.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
Byond Walls has a fantastic “hidden gem” feel in SS2. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, making it just as suitable for a quick dinner as it is for a late-night drink. The transition from a cafe to a pizza bar is handled well, providing a versatile vibe for the neighborhood.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the 30-hour fermented artisanal dough but it could not save the topping I ordered.
Score: 6.5/10
