Dim Sum
Dim Sum at Wongpan Dim Sum SS2 was a delightful trip down memory lane. They serve a tasty, traditional style of dim sum that felt both nostalgic and high-quality.

BBQ Chee Cheong Fun

Emperor Pork Dumpling

Bacon and Pork Dumpling

Yong Tau Foo

Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow)

Fried Carrot Cake XO Sauce

A few items really stood out during our lunch. The Special Pork Bun (baked style) was a particular highlight—perfectly textured and flavorful.

I was also very impressed by the Classic Pork Dumpling (Siew Mai), which stayed true to the traditional “pork only” style rather than being overly loaded with shrimp or fillers. The overall price point was also quite reasonable for the quality and setting in SS2.

Emperor Pork Dumpling (Siew Mai): RM8.90
Classic Pork Dumpling (Siew Mai): RM8.50
Special Pork Bun (Baked): RM10.90
Shrimp Dumpling (Har Gow): RM9.50
BBQ Pork Vermicelli Roll (Chee Cheong Fun): RM9.90
Fried Carrot Cake XO Sauce: RM10.90
Tie Guan Yin Tea (per pax): RM3.00
Total: RM106.00 for 4 pax (Including 10% Service Charge and 6% Service Tax)
Average Spend: RM26.50 per pax
Score: 8.0/10
M – Meal Value
At roughly RM26.50 per head for a 4-person spread, the value is excellent for the SS2 area. The portions are fair, and the focus on “pork-heavy” traditional recipes provides a more satisfying bite than many mass-produced dim sum chains.
Score: 8.2/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The restaurant features a clean, bright and functional space that is well-suited for a casual family weekend brunch.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the commitment to nostalgic, “old-school” textures. Their dedication to a pure pork Siew Mai and a perfectly crusted baked bun was a delight.
Score: 8.3/10
