Western
Dinner at Public House Sunway Square was a bit of a hit-and-miss experience. We started with a Greek Salad, which was quite good—fresh and well-balanced.

However, the main dish, a Pork Collar Steak, was unfortunately overcooked. This resulted in meat that was far too tough to fully enjoy. Although the execution was disappointing, I was simply too hungry at the time to send it back to the kitchen for a replacement. The mashed potatoes were alright.

Greek Salad: RM23
Pork Collar Steak: RM28
Average Spend: RM40+ per pax
Score: 6.83/10
M – Meal Value
While the salad was enjoyable, the failure of overcooking a premium cut like pork collar significantly impacts the value. I would expect better execution of meat dishes.
Score: 6.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
Located in the modern Sunway Square development, Public House offers a contemporary, industrial-chic gastropub atmosphere. It is a spacious and well-designed venue that works well for both casual drinks and group dinners.
Score: 8.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the vibrant salad preparation. Even in a meat-focused establishment, the ability to deliver a high-quality, fresh salad stands out, though it wasn’t enough to fully compensate for the tough pork collar steak this time around.
Score: 6.5/10
