Chinese
San Ren Xing Thomson Plaza (三人行) seems to be one of the more popular restaurants in this suburban Singapore shopping mall. It is a Chinese restaurant specialising in Fujian and Sichuan cuisines. San Ren Xing restaurant has three outlets in Singapore. Its other outlets are in Bedok Mall and Bugis Junction. We went to San Ren Xing Thomson Plaza on a weekday at lunchtime and the restaurant was packed. All the large tables were taken by groups which seem to be residents and working folks on their lunch breaks from the surrounding Upper Thomson area.
The bitter gourd pork patty weighed in highest at 6.5/10.

The fried fish was also executed well at 6.25/10

The gongbao chicken was ok at 6/10 too. Overall a pleasant dining experience – I’m sure this place serves dependable good food in this old haunt/ suburb of ours

Overall, above average quality for all 3 dishes; the vibes is reminiscent of an eatery in KL called Esquire Kitchen. That was childhood comfort food. San Ren Xing gives off similar vibes.
