Chinese
Surprised to chance upon Ah Yip Herbal Soup KL Gateway. First time at this mall, and another first at Ah Yip. Found out they have 10 other outlets.

The founder, Mr Cheng Keng Yip, was a physician for more than 10 years and knows that drinking herbal soups is an effective and easy way to good health. Based on his expertise and knowledge in Chinese Herbs, he specially created a range of herbal soups that capitalizes on the efficacy of herbs without comprising on the taste of the soups and taking more than 10 hours to prepare.
Their herbal duck soup is clearly their flagship- but I went for their sets and package instead. I opted for the American Ginseng set with a braised pork and rice set. All for RM49.

It’s a more down to earth version of Souper Tang, if I had to describe the vibes. It’s more akin to a Chinese Medicine Hall- vs a restaurant. Like a Kong Woh Tong.
Their menu is rather extensive- there’s something for everyone, and you can ask for recommendations eg for your lungs, or for your blood circulation etc.
True to its Chinese physician roots, they will recommend what’s good for you. Overall 6/10
