Char Kuey Teow, Street Food
I asked for my Char Kuey Teow at Puchong Meet You to be extra spicy and the aunty behind the wok delivered.

This was a RM10 takeaway and when I opened the box, the first thing that struck me was the colour. The noodles had taken on a lovely dark colour from the wok, with those slightly charred bits around the edges that made it look rather promising.

It tasted good too.
There was enough chilli in there to give me the extra spice I had asked for, together with egg, bean sprouts and cockles. More importantly, the Char Kuey Teow comes with pork lard, which gave the noodles that extra richness I like.

In fact, I think I know what I’m going to ask for next time. Extra spicy, with extra lard.
Char Kuey Teow — RM10
MVX Score: 8.2/10
M – Meal Value: 8.5/10
RM10 for a plate of Char Kuey Teow that was nicely fried, had good colour and came with cockles and pork lard was good value for me.
V – Venue: 7.5/10
Puchong Meet You is a large neighbourhood food court with both indoor and outdoor seating. There’s quite a bit happening here, with different stalls operating throughout the day.
X – X-Factor: 8.5/10
They listened when I asked for extra spicy and got it right. The pork lard helped too. Next round, I’ll be asking for extra lard.
