Chiefeater Luke Soon was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the baked herbal chicken he had at Tea Garden Subang Skypark Terminal
Indian, Pork-Free
The new Acha Curry House in SS2 Petaling Jaya is a welcome respite for CNY revellers on Day 1 when most Chinese eateries are shut. Previously located at Jalan Gasing. This new location definitely feels more inviting.
The curries are stock standard but the salted fish is a little more unique. Acha’s curries aren’t the thick and rich type, but they taste decent and pack enough heat. We shared an order of fried fish (tenggiri), deep fried bittergourd, fried squid and mutton varuval.
The fried bitter gourd is beautiful at 7.5/10
The fried chicken and fish (Tenggiri) at around 6.5/10
The mutton comes in close at 7/10
The ikan sambal was a little too sweet for me but still comes in 7/10
Overall, a decent banana leaf rice experience at 6.5/10 on the first day of CNY
