Char Koey Kak, Street Food, Non-Halal
Food Trucks are the current Push Carts of Yester Years. Having brought up while push carts were still common, I have a nostalgic feeling when I see the current trend of Food trucks. Those days, you get the Kuih sellers, ice cream, Wan Tan Mee, etc pushing their carts roaming around town. Current Food Truck sells up market products, Espresso, Pizza etc, So when some one mentioned Ah Keat Char Koey Kak Food Truck selling good Char Koey Kak, I was curious n game enough to try. Char Koey Kak is a traditional dish, a dish similar to Char Koey Teow.

Char Koey Kak is basically prepare like Char Koey Teow. What make it different is there no prawns, or Chinese sausage, and it’s fried with cube rice cakes instead of kuih tiow (Rice Noodles) , with a lot of Chye Poh (Preserved Radish Bits), and Tau Geh (Beam Sprouts). The rice cakes are fried (in advance) in a big pan and on order will they finish the preparation to your specifications, etc Extra Chili’s, Duck Egg.

Ah Keat Char Koey Kak Food Truck is usually located in from of Great Wellesley Food Court, Chai Leng Park Penang, From 4pm on Tue, Fri & Sunday, unless there are Vegetarian Festival going on. He will then be at the various Festival Sites.

Business Hours
Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
