Chicken Chop, Non-Halal
Ordered the Honey Mustard Chicken Chop via delivery from AnMour Cafe Puchong, and while the presentation was commendable — with neat packaging and a clean napkin branded with their cheerful star logo — there were a few quirks in the execution.
First, the positives: the chicken chop arrived hot and tender, with a well-seared exterior and good seasoning throughout the meat. The portion was fair, and the plate was rounded out with classic potato wedges (crispy and well-seasoned), a small cup of coleslaw, and a soft dinner roll. It’s the sort of nostalgic Western meal many Malaysians grew up enjoying — simple, familiar, and comforting.
However, the honey mustard sauce left something to be desired — not in taste, but in quantity. A scant smear barely covered the chicken, making it feel like a missed opportunity. The tangy-sweet mustard complemented the meat beautifully but was disappointingly scarce. A more generous pour would’ve tied the whole plate together more cohesively.
Despite that, Anmour Cafe Puchong proved to be a decent choice for a casual Western food at an accessible price. While not refined, it delivers what it promises — simple comfort fare that hits the spot.
