In my previous trip back to my hometown of Ipoh, I had brought my parents to Taiping on 23 May 2023. First stop was Antong Coffee. Although I was born in Taiping and my parents were there for a few years, they never knew of Antong, which is the oldest coffee mill (operational since 1933) in Malaysia.

I had already visited the place before the pandemic. I tried the espresso ice cream and it was nice and refreshing on a hot day. My dad thought it was steep for Taiping price - RM5.00 each. I bought kopi-o to bring back.
