Dumpling, Street Food
Dropped by Auntie Fet Dumpling Jalan Gaya and went for the chicken dumplings (RM11 for 10 pieces). They’re pan-fried and not exactly photogenic — slightly uneven, a little scrunched up — but one bite in and the looks stop mattering. The dumplings were juicy inside with a nice crispy base, well-seasoned filling, and that comforting homemade taste you only get when something’s made fresh at the counter.

They also sell a variety of smoothies and bubble teas, but I wasn’t there for that. It’s the dumplings that deserve the attention.
The skin had that satisfying pan-seared texture — crisp at the bottom, soft and chewy on top. The filling was generous, lightly garlicky, and fragrant with sesame oil. For RM11, it’s a hearty and tasty snack or light meal, especially if you grab it hot off the grill.

Score: 8.3/10
M – Meal Value (8.5): Ten tasty dumplings for RM11 — excellent value for flavour and portion.
V – Vibe & Venue (7.8): A no-frills half shop stall.
X – X-Factor (8.5): The taste far outshines the looks — an unassuming gem on Jalan Gaya.
