Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant Teochew Dinner
Teochew
Chiefeater Patrick Sato Lee had a simple Teochew style dinner at Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant in Bangkok's Chinatown

Pan Mee, Non-Halal
Here we have a truly hidden gem at Back Alley, located at the Seri Gembira Avenue, Happy Garden, KL.
Their Signature Pan Mee Soup is a must try at this outlet. They served with their legendary soup, double boiled to perfection using an improved handed down home made recipe .
Meet the owner of this one year old restaurant, Ms Joey Ong and her capable mother, Mdm Lam.
You will always see Joey’s passion in cooking in her kitchen behind her stove of 3 hot pots of boiling water , cooking with a broad smile on her face.
We ordered their signature Pan Mee soup with thin noodles and hand-teared noodles. All the noodles are manually hand pressed with much love by Mdm Lam.
I must say that the main highlight of the Pan Mee Soup besides having a generous amount of ikan bilis, fried onions & spinach, is the double boiled soup without MSG made to perfection overnight. You will not feel thirsty at all after wards. Anyway I wallop everything including the soup. Burp !
The outlet is most crowded during the weekdays on lunch hours and is frequented by office workers nearby and also community residents nearby. So please come early and be prepared to queue for a while.
They are closed on weekends.
