Pan Mee, Mee Suah, Street Food, Non-Halal
Based on the recommendation from other foodies, I ventured into Taman Ehsan Kepong to try the pan mee (flat noodles) at the Blue Roof stall in Taman Ehsan.
This local banmian stall, known as the “Blue Roof” by the locals, has been passed down to the second generation and has reportedly been in operation since the 1970s. Their signature pan mee features a sweet and clear broth with delicate and tender noodles, reminiscent of the nostalgic flavours of the past. The ginger wine pork blood mee suah (thin wheat noodles) is a personal favourite of mine, as the noodles absorb the rich ginger wine broth, creating a delightful taste. The mixed pork porridge, on the other hand, is relatively mild in flavour. The pan-fried dumplings from “杯庄” are particularly special! The noodle dishes here start from RM7.50, making them very affordable. If you happen to be in Kepong, give this a try!
