Cherating Steakhouse Chicken Rahmschnitzel
Post by Chiefeater Paula Tan
Dinner at Pop Inn @ Cherating Steakhouse. All under the legendary Sherwood banner. The original Sherwood outlet has closed down. But it is nice that they brought the shopfront logotype here and installed it above the cashier counter.
The orders, my must-have Chicken Rahmschnitzel & his grilled chicken chop.
The soup spoons here are the size of ladles and they call regular sized-ones pasta spoons. This tomato onion soup is what I have here every single time. The huge chunk of caramelized onions is crazy good. Although you wouldn't imagine they'd taste so incredible in a tomato base, they do.
What is Chicken Rahmschnitzel
Chicken Rahmschnitzel, also known as "chicken schnitzel with cream sauce," is a dish that originated in Austria and is now popular in many parts of Europe.
It typically consists of a chicken breast that is pounded thin, coated in breadcrumbs and fried until crispy. The chicken is then served with a creamy mushroom sauce, often made with heavy cream, white wine, and chicken broth, which is poured over the chicken schnitzel.
Some variations may also include additional herbs or spices, such as parsley or thyme, to add more flavor to the dish. It is usually served with a side of potatoes or vegetables.
