Chiefeater VK had a serendipitous find when he ordered a meal from Nanyang Sand Ginger Steam Chicken via food delivery

Malaysian, Pork-Free
I recently caught up with Chiefeater Leyriesa Ann Tan for lunch at Citrus Cafe and Restaurant. We ordered 3 items, a Pomelo Salad as a starter, a Nasi Goreng with Beef Rendang and an Aloo Gosht.
To start, we shared the pomelo salad which turned out to be a surprisingly delicious surprise. While we expected mainly greens with just a bit of pomelo, it was actually dominated by large chunks of sweet, juicy pomelo. The citrus was so flavorful and the light dressing complemented it perfectly. This salad was such a bright, refreshing appetizer.

The Nasi Lemak with beef rendang is Chiefeater Leyriesa Ann Tan’s go to dish whenever she visits Citrus Cafe and Restaurant. The beef was tender and flavoured perfectly with the coconut rendang sauce. The rice was nicely stir fried. The dish embodied the essence of comfort food.

Next up was the Aloo Gosht, a Lamb Curry that transcended expectations. The tenderness of the lamb was astonishing. The meat would come apart as we press our spoons on it. Opting for the Naan was a brilliant choice as the aromatic buttery fragrance engulfed our senses even before the dish graced the table. The dhall that came with the dish thick with tasty goodness.

Service here was nothing short of exceptional. The attentive staff added an extra layer of comfort to the dining experience, ensuring that every need was met with a smile.
