Da San Steamboat Charcoal Hotpot
Post by Chiefeater Marcus Teoh
If you are passing by Bukit Mertajam, Penang drop by (Big Mountain) Da San Steamboat. The traditional cooking method saw clean, odorless charcoal heating clay pot filled with savory milky soup cooking very fresh seafood! I liked that we didn't have to bother about the fire to focus on our chat and food instead of busy "cooking". Tom and I preferred non-spicy soup. There were selections too. I didn't bother once I identified what I wanted.
Fried fish skin and fish cheeks were very delicious, while it was fried and not oily I witheld my urge to finish them all.
