Went to Ah Hua Cafe in Cheras for dim sum. Come early if you want to avoid the crowd in this newly opened dim sum place in Cheras. I arrived around 8:15am and the place was already half full. That’s saying a lot given they have 2 floors. The atmosphere is a rusting feel with 80s HK Cantopop took me back to a time when things were more carefree.
We ordered a bunch of stuff, maybe a little bit too much for 2 pax. One thing about dim sum, variety is king but it’s a double edge sword. It will always be hard to have all of the variety of dim sum that pleases everyone’s palette.
Anyway, for us the superstars were the Deep Fried Taro Dumpling, the Phoenix Claw (chicken feet), Black Garlic Siew Mai, Chive and Prawn Crispy Beancurd, Cashew Beetroot Millet Ball, and Red Rice Prawn Noodle Roll.
