I dropped into Breworks Puchong at IOI Boulevard for a casual dinner. This spot has carved out a niche for itself by offering a solid range of western-local fusion dishes alongside very competitively priced beers.

The Grilled Chicken Chop (RM15.90) is a dish I have ordered via food delivery multiple times, and it is always good. The chicken is well-charred on the outside while remaining succulent within, served with a robust black pepper sauce.

The Malat Luncheon Meat Fried Rice (RM14.90) was quite good too. It hit that delicate balance where the numbing mala spiciness was present but did not overpower the savory flavor of the fried rice.

The Nasi Lemak Pork Curry (RM13.90) was another standout, featuring tender chunks of pork in a rich, fragrant gravy that paired perfectly with the coconut rice.

On the other hand, the Smoked Duck Pizza (RM16.90) was just ok. While the toppings were generous enough, the overall execution lacked the “wow” factor of the other dishes; it’s not something I would come here for.

To wash it all down, the draught beer options like the Legend 8 and White 9 (both RM9.80) offered excellent value. Finding a decent pint for under RM10 in Puchong is becoming a rarity.

Grilled Chicken Chop: RM15.90
Malat Luncheon Meat Fried Rice: RM14.90
Nasi Lemak Pork Curry: RM13.90
Smoked Duck Pizza: RM16.90
Legend 8: RM9.80
White 9: RM9.80
Ginger Ale Ice: RM9.00
Total with 8% service charge: RM97.40 for 3 pax making it an average of RM33 per pax
Score: 7.9 / 10
M – Meal Value
The prices are exceptionally fair for the portions and quality provided, especially for the mains like the chicken chop and nasi lemak. The sub-RM10 beer is a major win.
Score: 8.8/10
V – Venue & Vibes
Located at IOI Boulevard, it offers a spacious and chill environment suitable for social gatherings. It is a functional bar-restaurant setup that is comfortable but can get busy.
Score: 7.0/10
X – X-Factor
The consistent execution of their fusion rice dishes and the incredible value of their own-brand beers give this place a high re-visit factor.
Score: 8.0/10
