Taiwanese, Spicy Beef Rice, Non-Halal
Feathers DC Mall provided diners at DC Mall with a new dining option when they opened in November 2022. The choice of a non-halal dining option would have been welcomed around there. What they offer is Taiwanese cuisine with rice and noodle sets the predominant options.
I ordered a set of Spicy Beef Rice with Two Eggs (RM26.90++). The set came with a side dish, a Lemon Green Tea and a Dessert of The Day. The side dish was pickled vegetables while the dessert was a piece of Mochi.
Service is quick and food is served quite quickly after you order despite them having a rather heavy lunch crowd. Everything has been pre-cooked and just needs to be served. Nevertheless, they executed the service part well.
The food at Feathers DC Mall however was muted to my taste buds. The beef was not spicy enough (to me). The meat was too thin to enjoy. There was no bite to it. Maybe it is just me having a higher expectation of spiciness than how Taiwanese define spicy. After all, they certainly have enough business at their outlet to suggest that people like their food.
