Dim Sum, Non-Halal
It had been awhile since we had dim sum. Since we were at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, we thought that Grand Harbour would not let us down. The outlet that we used to frequent at Damen Mall always delivered the goods. We ordered quite a number of dishes for the 2 of us. Probably more than we should have but it’s dim sum. Dim Sum is not dim sum if you only order 2 dishes. A party of four is the ideal size for a dim sum meal but we were 2 and eating like 4.

However, the dim sum was less than stellar this time. The prawns did not have the seafood sweetness that I have come to expect of the dim sum here. The skin of the har gow was too thick. The char siew in the HK Chee Cheang Fun was strange. I think the only thing I liked was the siew mai.

The other thing I like about dining here was the distance of the tables from each other, the height of the ceiling and the amount of natural lighting that came in. Perhaps it was an off day?
