Curry Mee, Non-Halal
You have heard of speakeasy bars. Let me introduce you to a speakeasy kopitiam, Green Lane Noodles Sri Petaling. If I was not on foot, I am certain I would have not stumbled upon this place, and trust me, I would have been the poorer for it.

Once inside, we were delighted to find that Green Lane Noodles Sri Petaling serves up some of Penang's beloved hawker favourites, including White Curry Mee, Duck Meat Koay Teow Thn'g, Hokkien Mee and Loh Bak. We were pondering whether to go in or not as we had a disappointing lunch earlier. I am glad we took a chance.
We ordered a single bowl of White Curry Mee (RM9.90). From the first spoonful, we were transported to the bustling streets of Penang, where the aroma of rich and flavourful curry filled our taste buds. The condiments, including coagulated pig's blood and sotong, added a Penang touch to the dish. But the true hero of this dish was the curry itself – a harmonious blend of spices and coconut milk that left us craving for more. Be warned, the chili that comes in the spoon delivers a kick that could set your tongue on fire. So if you are not used to spice, add it sparingly into your curry.

Green Lane Noodles Sri Petaling is a hidden culinary haven that pays homage to Penang's hawker delights. The amazing thing is that they actually have 3 outlets in all. The other two being at Desa Cahaya and Taynton View. If you have been missing a taste of Penang White Curry Mee, I think you will like to give this a try.
