Chicken Chop, Non-Halal
On Saturday, 24 Feb 2024, I went to Kepong for a work meeting. My prior appointment was cancelled, so I went to Kepong early. I ended at H.O.P. Kopi Kepong at 6pm. On the cover of the menu, I discovered H.O.P. was actually short for House of Pok. I flipped through the menu and ordered a set of A + B for dinner, without rice. A was a meat dish and B was a veggie, tofu or egg dish.
I ordered the salted egg chicken chop and it was good. The battered chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the sauce had just the right thick consistency. Some finely sliced bunga kantan sprinkled on top was an excellent touch that elevated the flavour of the dish. The siew pak choy in Shanghai sauce was tasty too. The veggies were crunchy and the gravy was yummy. The chrysanthemum and ginseng drink was refreshing and not sweet. All in all, a tasty meal, and I would eat at H.O.P. Kopi again. At the back of the menu, I saw they had many outlets, actually.
