Chiefeater Pat Lim shares a dinner stop at Jia Xiang Corner in Raub after a long drive from Kota Baru

Yong Tau Foo, Street Food, Non-Halal
My wife drove her mum to collect some rice wine at Sedenak New Village, Kulai this morning and I just tagged along for the “nostalgia”. I used to go there before as my in-laws were formerly staying there. After which we decided to drop by at Hao Ke Fang Coffee Shop in Kelapa Sawit for a tea break. This Hakka eatery sells Lei Cha rice, Yong Tau Foo, Cai Ban (dumplings), Suan Pan Zhi ( made from yam and flour and shaped to resemble abacus beads, and fried with other ingredients) and other popular Hakka lang makanan like Cha Rou (fried crispy pork belly) etc.

We ordered nasi lemak, some Yong Tau Foo which comes with pork fillings, kopi and kopi O. The nasi lemak sambal which looks more like a chilli sauce was slightly sourish and hot, and blends in well with the fragrant rice giving it a nice flavour.

Both kopi and kopi O (Americano style) were also pretty good.

The total bill is RM33.10 and I feel it is slightly overpriced for a kampung area coffee shop.
