Indian, Pork-Free
I visited Havana Kitchen new South Indian Food restaurant at Gurney Walk that opened at the end of April 2023. Went for dinner today. Quite early about 6.00pm, thus no customers at all (also being new, not many aware yet).
I wanted something with prawns and saw ‘masala prawns’ but was told it comes with chapati or some other bread but i want rice so i settled on the prawns biryani rice. RM20.00.
Picture of the rice after i scoop it onto the plate with banana leaf. as you can see the prawns are small prawns.

Raita. i like it. different from other type of raita i had. those usually were white in colour but this one can see like a bit pinkish in colur. tasted good.

For drinks, i was recommended to try the ‘mooru’ drink. what on earth is that i wonder as haven’t heard of it. The friendly lady told me very nice and healthy drink with buttermilk, coriander, curry leaves, ginger and so on, so i gave it a try. first time trying it. first sip, it tasted salty but after that, it was not so salty but still can feel the salty taste, which is good. i google for ‘mooru’ to find out more. overall it as quite yummy.

i notice that the menu at Havana Kitchen (scroll through for the menu) has lots of other food that comes in set or ala carte. the set food, with certain bread, looks so good from their google map website.
