Irish Pub, Non-Halal
When it’s a holiday on Monday, I can have a cold one for lunch. That’s how we ended up at the newly opened Healy Mac Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Yes the winner of Diageo’s Best Irish Pub award has opened a branch in Bukit Jalil.
My son and I shared a Guinness Beef Pot Pie (RM60++). We were early so we were the only diners in at that time. They have a pretty good deal on pints at the moment. 3 pints for RM90 nett and you can mix and match between beers and stouts. I had Kilkenny and Guinness.
The beef pie was well seasoned and even the pastry was tasty. It’s a hearty dish and I think it’s plenty for one person. The dish comes with a side of mashed potatoes, which has a nice creamy feel to it.

Jen ordered a bowl of Potato & Leek Soup (RM18++). She liked the creaminess of the soup. She described it as potato-ish but not enough leek.

I added in an order of Spicy Pork Ribs (RM27++) later. While this was ok, I feel the pork rib was a bit too mushy. I forget that it’s Monday. I should not order pork on Monday.

One of the standouts of Healy Mac Pavilion Bukit Jalil is the attentive staff. I loved their efficient service. And the Draught deal was good.
