Hoifan Company had been on my radar ever since Chiefeater PLKV’s glowing review of it, so I decided it was finally time to give it a go.
Their menu
Al-fresco seating since it was a cool day.
The intriguingly named Abnormal Chicken (RM17.90) is a plate of fried chicken served with chicken rice. While the dish wasn’t groundbreaking, it was undeniably tasty. The fried chicken was crisp and well-seasoned. The rice had a firm texture and a nice aroma that tied the meal together nicely.
But the real highlight? Their Cham. A harmonious blend of tea and coffee, it had a velvety texture that felt luxurious with every sip. The balance leaned slightly more towards tea, which found refreshing and unique. It’s not often you find a drink that outshines the main meal, but this Cham definitely did that for me.
Hoifan Company is worth a visit if you are in this part of town.
