Porridge, Vegetarian
janxden greenlife restaurant must be one of the best vegetarian restaurant around. well i said 'must be' because i am not a vegetarian and hardly visit vegetaian restaurants. it's through heresay (and reading) that i feel it could be one of the best.
easy to find parking if you are early like me (was there at 10.30 am). see top pic, on the left, grey colour car is mine. lucky me get to park right in front and there were a few vacant lots and nearby nagore rd too.
all breakfast set comes with free americano coffee or peach tea.
spacious comfortable dining area.
it used to be at chow tye rd but since 2 years back, had moved to Jalan hutton (near New World Park). i went this morning for brunch. just in time for their breakfast set, of which the friendly staff recommend me to try their special oat century egg porridge (RM16.90).
taste good overall though i don't particularly feel much difference from the normal porridge. pehaps just that this is more 'sticky.
carrot soup. RM12.90
very creamy and thick. quite okay but i prefer less creamy
as i was thinking porridge won't be filling after some time, i decided to tapau their fried rice - volcano fried rice back. i found out from the menu that it is 'fried rice covered with beaten egg and special homemade japanese curry drizzled on top.'
left bottom: comes in a nice packed paper box. the egg covered the rice.
right bottom: shows the japanese curry.
left top: pushed open the egg to show you the rice inside.
right top: after i mix up the egg and pour in the curry. lots of veggie inside i.e. cabbage, carrot, green peas, mushroom. there are some small green chilly too which makes the fried rice spicy. i guess it is because i asked if the rice is spicy, seeing the word 'volcano' but was told it is not spicy but they can make it spicy for me, so they added in the green chilly.
for the menu you can scroll through the weblink below.
however i notice both menu does not show the breakfast set menu. they have a separate physical menu for the breakfast set. if i can remember maybe the breakfast set has food like hashbrown, sausage and omelette. Breakfast menu available from 8:30 am until 11.00 am
