Pizza, Non-Halal
Joe’s Pizza is a “Greenwich Village Institution” beloved by many. Their original location is on Carmine Street, but they now have six locations. I was in the Times Square area and stopped by Joe’s Pizza Broadway to give this legendary slice a shot.
The workaday Greenwich Village shop is the consummate New York slice parlor first and foremost for its uncanny, unparalleled consistency. It’s a spot where your slice is exactly as excellent as the last time, and the time before that, every time. That can be attributed, yes, to high turnover: Slices fly off the counter, and new pizzas are constantly being baked, guaranteeing freshness. This brings up another essential fact: Joe’s is always busy, but it’s never a pain to get in and get out. The ideal slice joint shouldn’t be a major commitment for locals, and the slice must be obtained without hassle.

We picked the cheese with pepperoni topping – and these pizzas are as big as they come! Aptly regarded by many NewYokers as the best slice in Manhattan. I’d have to agree, Joe’s Pizza Broadway is consistently good. Every single time. Every single slice.

I’d give Joe’s 7.5/10. They’ve 6 locations across the city. Not to be missed. Don’t be alarmed by the snaking queues outside each of their shops, it moves fairly quickly along.
Total USD32 for 8 slices of New York heaven.
